Kia ora lovely YANZ community,
We are stoked to announce the return of The Rangatahi Open Mic!
After a hugely successful pilot event last December, we are teaming up with Holding Space Aotearoa to bring you another one. And we are so lucky that the building that we call home, Movespace, is allowing us to host the Open Mic in their event space.

YANZ and Holding Space Aotearoa are hosting an awesome opportunity for our rangatahi artists (16-26) to practice their craft in front of whÄnau and friends at the bustling, creative MoveSpace in Mt Eden, TÄmaki Makaurau.

We warmly invite artists and performers of all experience levels to showcase your art.
Slots are 15mins or less so 2 - 3 songs/items is ideal depending on length. This is an intimate venue and would suit 'acoustic' line ups better.

Rangatahi musicians and performers between the ages of 16-26
Up to 15 min sets
Artists will be notified prior to the event
Pre-Event Artist Session 4-5pm. Artists are welcome to arrive at 4pm for a professionally guided sound check (hosted by Holding Space), opportunity for FREE artist photos, and to hang out with other artists at the awesome Movespace creative venue.

This Rangatahi Open Mic offers a welcoming, alcohol-free environment. Tickets are FREE and we warmly encourage you to RSVP on our Facebook Event Page, so we can have enough seats for everyone!
